Raptor is a card driven boardgame with tactical play and some double guessing. Players use their cards to move their pawns (scientists on one side, Mother and baby raptors on the other). The scientists can use fire, can move by jeep on the tracks, and can even call for reinforcements, while the mother raptor can hide in the bushes, yell to frighten the scientists, and call for her babies. The scientists must neutralise the mother raptor and capture the baby raptors before they run wild into the forest.
Present day, on an isolated island in the Pacific Ocean.
"The expedition is about to land on the shore. The scouts we’ve sent came back wounded, but have confirmed the information we had: not all dinosaurs have disappeared! On this island, a female velociraptor lives with her babies. So far we’ve seen five of them, but there might be more.
Our mission: to capture the children, alive, or neutralize the mother, who is fast and powerful. It will be an epic face-to-face struggle, but every true scientist would love to take my seat. Let the hunt begin!"
